Gerald Richard Alves, Sr.  October 25, 1933-December 28, 2019

Gerald Richard “Jerry” Alves was born in Falmouth, MA to Richard Alves and Adeline Lomba.  He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Falmouth and a Falmouth Police Officer for many years.  Jerry also attended JML adult day care for many years.

He loved the Boston Red Sox, Patriots & Boston Bruins.  Jerry was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  Jerry loved to joke around with everyone he met.

He leaves behind his daughters; Darleen Alves of Little Rock, AK, Andrea Roderick of Wareham, MA, Georgette Alves Floyd of PA, Tajuanna Alves, (Havenal), of CA, Bonnie Alves of Baltimore, Maryland, his sons, Richard Alves of Yarmouth, Gerald Alves II (Janet) of Boston.  Also survived by 17 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 4 great great Grandchildren.  three Sisters, Sandy, Nancy  and Judy, One brother, Ralph and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son John Alves.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 4th from 2:00PM – 5:00 PM at Cape Verdean Club, 126 Sandwich Road, East Falmouth, MA.
