Herbert S. Shahzade

Herbert S. Shahzade, 91, of Mashpee, passed away peacefully at home on January 9, 2020. He was the beloved son of the late Hadgie and Celia Shahzade.

Herbert attended Tufts University before ultimately receiving his master’s degree in engineering with Boston University. He served in the United States Army during Korea. He worked as an industrial engineer for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the 300 committee in Falmouth as well as local bridge clubs. He was an avid bridge player and enjoyed classical music, especially on his guitar. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Herbert is survived by his three children, Joyce O’Connor of Falmouth, John Shahzade and wife Catherine of Del Ray Beach, FL, David Shahzade and wife Edina of Falmouth, nine grandchildren, Lauren, Brooke, Christian, Matthew, John, Katelin, Lindsay, Heather, Holly, and companion Gayla Parrish Troup. He was predeceased by his son Edward A. Shahzade.

A visitation will be held at the Chapman Cole and Gleason Funeral Home 74 Algonquin Ave (Rte 151) Mashpee on Wednesday January 15, 2020 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The family is holding a private graveside service.
