Irene L. Jackson

1929 ∼ 2020

 Irene L. (Nickerson) Jackson, of Centerville, MA wife of the late Leland H. Jackson passed peacefully Friday, February 7, 2020.  Born January 10, 1929, she was 91 years old. 

Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Foreman and Marguerite (Larkin) Nickerson.  She was predeceased by her sister, Gloria (Nickerson) Herring, her son David Herget and her step-daughter Joyce (Jackson) McGowan.  She is survived by her children Richard Herget, Ellen (Herget) McAuley, Kathryn (Herget) Sheehan and her step-children James Jackson, Daniel Jackson, Marsha (Jackson) White and Leland Jackson, Jr as well as many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Irene was a loving caregiver to many.  She also enjoyed endless hours in her garden as well as puzzles of all kinds.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 11:00 – 1:00 at John-Lawrence Funeral Home, Marstons Mills, MA.  Interment to be at Beechwood Cemetary, Centerville, MA immediately following.
