Ivan Q. Tuell

Ivan Q. Tuell, 80, of Wareham, died Jan. 3, 2020 in Sippican Healthcare Center, Marion.  He was the husband of Barbara A. (Rolfe) Tuell and the son of the late Harold Q. and Geraldine (Jennings) Tuell.

He was born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada. He lived in Princeton and Brewer Maine before moving to Wareham 48 years ago.  He graduated from Princeton High School in Princeton, ME.  Mr. Tuell served in the Maine National Guard for 7 years.

Mr. Tuell worked as a Diesel Mechanic for Fred O. Earle Oil Company in Sandwich for 40 years before retiring.  He also worked as a police officer for the Brewer Police Department from 1960 to 1964.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years Barbara A. (Rolfe) Tuell; 3 sons, Jeffrey Tuell of ME, David Tuell and his wife Joanne of Wareham and Thomas Tuell of Wareham; 2 daughters, Deborah Gonski and her husband Mitchell of Wareham and Sherri Tuell of Wareham; a daughter-in-law, Beth Tuell of Middleboro; 18 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Eric Tuell.

Services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are by the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.
