EASTHAM—Meredith J. Morgan, 62, of Eastham, passed away peacefully in the early-morning hours of Thursday, November 28, 2019, at the Pleasant Bay Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, in Brewster, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Boston on September 2, 1957, Meredith was the devoted daughter of the late Manuel G. and Muriel (Hutcheon) Morgan.
Meredith was a graduate of Northeastern University, where she received her bachelor’s degree. She then furthered her education by attending Bentley University, from which she graduated with a master’s degree.
After spending some time living in the Boston area, Meredith decided to relocate to Cape Cod, eventually settling in Eastham.
While living on the Cape, Meredith worked as the controller at Latham Centers in Brewster. She was dedicated to the mission of the organization and was proud to work for a company that makes a difference in the lives of many. She will be remembered for her strong work ethic, and for taking pride in a job well done.
A lifelong fan of the Boston Bruins, Meredith also enjoyed relaxing at the beach, spending time with her beloved cats, and traveling.
Meredith is survived by her loving brother, Robert Morgan; her nephew, John Morgan; her niece, Susan Toscano and her husband, Chris; and her cherished great-nephew and great-niece, Joseph and Isabella Toscano. Meredith touched many lives with her generous spirit, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, from 3 to 6 p.m., at the Morris, O’Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 678 Main Street, Harwich, MA 02645.
A private graveside service will take place at The Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery, in West Roxbury, where Meredith will be laid to rest with her parents.
