Mrs. Jo Anglim Mayhew Wennerberg, daughter of the late Kenneth and Sally Anglim was born November 29, 1944 in Newton, Massachusetts. She attended the public schools of Woburn, MA and was a graduate of the Northeastern School of Paralegal Education.
Jo was united in marriage to George H. Wennerberg of Yarmouth Port, MA in November of 2010 and previously to Robert L. Mayhew. The Mayhew marriage was blessed with two children: Paula E. and Robert A. Mayhew, both of Waltham, MA.
Jo was an active member of the Heatherwood community of Yarmouth Port, MA. She was a caring and devoted mother, wife, friend and confidant. As a result of her generous spirit, deep dedication to her family and friends, outgoing personality and her gourmet Italian cooking, she was loved by many. She found her happiness with George on Cape Cod—particularly the solace of walking the boardwalk together at Gray’s Beach in Yarmouth Port. She loved entertaining, cooking and writing, children and the elderly, and of course, her computer. Her dedication to her family and friends knew no limits, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She passed unexpectedly on Saturday November 16, 2019 at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, Massachusetts.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children and husband, her cousins Elizabeth and Robert Clarke Sr. and family of Framingham and Dennis, MA, W. Gregg and Susie Anglim and family of Niantic, CT, Robert and Phyllis Totaro of Natick, MA, countless cousins of the Barbo family who were all much like siblings to Jo, the children of the Wennerberg family and the Teplansky grandchildren Xander, Zack and Max, soon-to-be daughter in law Véronique Fischer of Leipzig, Germany, nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends and even strangers whose lives were so deeply and unforgettably touched by her light, love, care and thoughtfulness.
Visitation will be held at Morris, O’Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 678 Main St. HARWICH on Saturday, November 23rd from 1-4 pm.
